Rupert Jaeger has extensive experience in coordinating, managing and marketing of (trade) exhibitions, networking events and other industry events. During his time at Design International, the coordination of such events was an important responsibility of his role. This included the yearly and longer term planning of the overall corporate events strategy, which was drawn up in close coordination with the company management. Taken into account were each event's role in achieving set business development objectives, as well keeping to agreed budgetary limits.

Overall, Rupert's responsibilities pertaining to events were threefold:
technical & organisational coordination
Liaising and coordination with show organisers such as Reed Midem, including stand contract negotiations or renewals, submission of technical stand proposals in line with health & safety requirements and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Contract negotiations with booth building contractors; supervision of booth building, based on agreed designs; supervision of booth set up and take down.
All other technical coordination, such as furniture rental or shipping of equipment.
stand design coordination
Coordinating, with Design International's interior architecture division, appropriate new custom booth designs, in line with the corporate identity of the company.
Coordinating modifications of existing booths designs as appropriate.
Developing and implementing of all booth graphics, for large custom made booths, or smaller standard shell schemes.
Coordinating the production of all supporting visual and other graphic material, such as videos, interactive presentations, brochures, usb keys, etc
PR & marketing
Coordination of all pre-show marketing activities to advertise event, such as print & electronic advertising, generic and personalised email invitations, social media activities.
All PR coordination, such as the organisation press conferences, project launches, award announcements, etc; liaising with all press and media contacts, before, during and after each show.
Attendance of event as company spokesperson as part of a combined effort between the company management, the business development and communications team with the objective to win new contracts for the company.
Coordination of all post-show follow up PR and marketing work.
