The idea of ‘Degeneration‘ is a recurring subject in my work, both as a concept as well as an artistic technique. In my previous post from the 2nd of May, I experimented with the degeneration that happens when an image is captured from a screen. I normally don’t work with this ‘On Screen’ degeneration, but it was an interesting experience, because this process of digital degeneration can multiply almost instantaneously.
Nevertheless, the following day I felt a strong urge to bring the result back into the analogue world….to the old railway tracks near Finsbury Park, to be more precise…one of my favourite places in London and also one of the locations for my next project.
